Portaloo Hire and Portable Toilets by AA Hire

AA Hire has a range of portable toilets and toilet blocks available for hire at competitive rates.
They fall into three categories

  1. Site and event FWF toilets

These are also known as chemical toilets, FWF toilets (freshwater flush) portaloos as well as other names.

The site type are typically used on building sites and industrial premises and have hand pumps to operate the toilet flush and hand basin taps, the event type usually have foot operated pumps. These are typically seen at events and on building sites

These are used where water and sewers are not available or it would be uneconomic to connect to services, as they are independent of mains supply and sewers

Chemical toilets are operated by water stored in an inbuilt freshwater tank which is then dispensed to the toilet flush or to a sink for washing hands, this waste is then stored an integral waste tank

This waste tank has chemical additives which serves three purposes, firstly it eliminates smells that would normally be created from storing the waste, secondly it starts the process of waste breakdown and finally the solids are broken down into liquid so that we can pump out the waste tank. This is where the name chemical toilet comes from

These chemical toilets need servicing on a regular basis according to use

Typically, at events with high usage they can be serviced several times a day, and on less intensive use they are serviced at weekly or fortnightly intervals

The service includes cleaning the walls and floors, replenishing the fresh water tank, pumping the waste tank out, replacing the chemical toilet rolls and soap

A disabled version is also available

  1. Sewer connect toilets

These are used when temporary toilets are required and mains water and sewerage are available, these look like a typical chemical toilet but have a normal toilet bowl and sink for hand washing

These are connected to the mains inlet and sewers and don’t require the same servicing that the chemical toilets require

A version is available as a shower unit

Typical uses include building sites, high rise building sites, home renovations and commercial demobs

  1. Toilet and Ablution Blocks

These are when many toilets are required, and a shower unit may be included as well.

There are variants with male and female facilities.

Toilet blocks are typically equipped with toilets in cubicles, urinal and wash hand basins. Cold running water is available in all blocks and some have hot water systems. Typical arrangements are 2, 3 or 4 toilets with a urinal and single female toilet.

These need to be connected to a mains or pressured water supply to a single inlet and have a single waste outlet which can be connected to a sewer if available or mounted and connected to a tank when sewers aren’t available.

The tank can be pumped out at regular intervals according to use

Tank Pump outs

AA hire is able to empty the large waste tanks associated with portable toilet blocks on site on a regular basis. Usually a minimum of a days’ notice is required, however we can arrange emergency collections as well should the situation arise.

AA Hire will cooperate fully with the client when our assets are used in the proper manner, but at any time should AA Hire suspect non-conforming waste is in waste tanks and at any time should the operators of Waste Treatment Plant discover illegal waste when dis-charging. We reserve the right to refuse to take this until the customer has had the waste analysed and written confirmation is given that the waste is suitable for collection.

The above and any other problems are chargeable in addition to the service and hire charges.
